What is a good tool kit to get? I am looking for hex head drivers and just regular screw drivers.

I have been looking at the Associated factory team hex driver set....http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJTR0&P=0 Is this a good set?

What other brands make good tool sets for rc stuff?

Those are nice.....but very expensive and I am not a big fan of Duratrax products......

So to make them magnetic do you just stick them to a really strong Earth magnet?

get a permanent magnet, say from an old speaker, then slide the tool over the magnet in one direction.

That should magnetise your tools

Boy Mook..Your as bad as I am..I can't sleep and it's on the computor I go!
Hey on that magnatizing. Do you slide just the tip or the whole shank down the magnet?

Sliding the tip should do the job. Permanent magnets are 'south north'. If you take a magnet and slide the tip of a screwdriver down one side (north or south) then it should magnetise it.

i highly recommend the ofna hex driver set. it's great with an electric skill drill at the track. you can remove a front, center or rear end off your 1/8th scale buggy in about 30 seconds.

the thunder tiger ones are great as well. i suggest rounded ball heads.

also, be sure you get either hex or standard. be sure you get the right set for your kit.
