I know people who run them, and they are great for the price, but still you get what you pay for, meaning they are still not the Creme de La Creme, but they are good for the price

I have herd very bad things aout them, they supposeibly mis label there cells. Check outhpi's web site (http://www.hpiracing.com) and then go to forms. Theres been many horrible things said about intergy.

Ne-Gosh, they do not falsify their labels, it is the matching process that they use that makes their cells "appear" to be great, they match @4A charge, much like others, but they do a 20A Discharge, which somehow makes the Average Voltage look higher, and they use a .85V Discharge cut off to get the "long" run times. They do not print the Internal Resistance on their cells, or the mwh, because noone would most likely buy them if they did. also, I asked them what matcher they use, it is not a TurboMatcher 4 like eveeryone else uses, but they say it uses the same "software".
I said it before, they are good for the price.

I've used a new $35 pack from Integy and it seems fine. I'm sure it's not the best pack I've used, but it's good. Face it, they're ALL Sanyos, and if they're matched (whatever the specs of the process), they're matched. The batteries are fine. Go for it!

xxxer - i think they use a 25A or 27A discharge, something wierd like that. there are other matchers that use 20A. The discharge cutoff issue is misleading, too. Those two things are the problem. Like nairb said, they are matched and they are the same cells as everyone elses, you just can't compare numbers to other matchers.

Thanks for the advice, I look over at the HPI forum and I got to say, this hobby doesnt need people bashing companies and making claims with out any hard evidence. Im 19 and I been in this hobby since I was 13 and talk to a lot of people who get scared when they hear the cost, I dont even buy the top of the line stuff. This kind of stuff might scare people getting in the hobby or thinking of getting in. We all just need to take a chill pill, and just have fun at the track. Thats what I plan to do this summer when I come back from college.
Im Out!! :p :D :p

Integy......lol.....

ok...ok...
Integy 'traps' voltage. This means that the average voltage is calculated over a trapped period of time. They only record the average voltage over the first 350 seconds of the discharge cycle. This causes the numbers to appear higher. This was confirmed to me by Integy themselves via telephone.
As far as runtime, I am baffled on that one. They claim to cut at .85v, but I can't see that happening. I has some 2000's from them, and they were labeled 410 sec. The best my T35 could find was 380 with a .8v cutoff.
As for cost, Integys top of the line cells are $70-80 per pack. So are SMC, Trinity, Orion, Peak, etc. The only difference in that Integy actually sells the lower grade cells to people as matched packs. SMC makes stick packs with them. Trinity sells Race Spec, and World Spec.
Integy is able to do this because due to their matching system, even their lower level cells look appealing to unknowing newcomers to RC.

Hi Sir Speedy, Not everyone is looking for the absolute best packs, maybe just something that is better than say Piranah 1500's or something like that. Wouldn't you say that a mathed pack of Sanyo 2400's (regardless of the specs), is a big improvement over the cheapies? This discusion wasn't necesarily about premo batts like SMC's. However maybe that is what he's looking for! I have an Integy pack that I bought used that run quite well, have had them for about a year & still discharge to zero volts evenly...still matched well, & low resistance. ;)

Any Integy pack would be better than a Pirannha 1500.
It is the nature of these forums for people to be led to think that they are getting premium cells for $40.
I just merely wanted to inform the users of this BB of what they are getting. You should be able to get Trinity's Race Spec cells in the $40 range, as well as SMC 1.10+ 275sec 2400's for $40.
I have heard that Integy has cells for as little as $30. Well, keep in mind, you are getting a $30 pack.
The larger matchers don't sell that low level of a pack as a matched pack. I run for SMC. They will pull a cell from the matching machine if it does not produce respectable numbers. Then they become stick packs.
So what I am saying is that one of SMC's stick packs for the E-Maxx is as good as a $40 Integy pack.
