Hi Gerry,
Looks neat, I say go for it. One of the light brushless/lipo combo's ought to be just the ticket.
Cheers, Dave

Hi ShayRC, the GB-Z is intended for electric power and I am thinking about either a GWS geared twin RXC-A power unit and LiPoly battery or a similar brushless outrunner motor. Something that will turn a 10 inch prop, more or less. it is for indoor RC or for calm early evening or morning outdoor flights. But, I am sure if you built it out of balsa or added carbon fiber tube reinforcement, you could power it with an engine... maybe a Norvel .061 Big Mig.

Foam cut and ready for assembly. I was lucky enough to get the parts cut out by John Valentine the author of the Lear Fan construction article in the August 2006 issue of MAN.

the 2 1/2 inch DuBro micro lite wheels fit nicely and are scale diameter
thin wire gear struts will be soldered up and support the landing gear

with the three wheel pants part laminated together, the wheels will be enclosed for a nice look
I'll add more pix as things progress. for now I have to get back to work!
