I want something with more oompf on my buggy. They are stock spur and pinion and I was thinking of getting a trinity pinion 18 or 19 tooth and a steel spur gear, 84 maybe. Is this a good set up for a 1/10 buggy with a p2k stock motor? Whats the best combo for get-up-and-go speeds and whats the best for just plain top speeds? Thanks!

It's an Kyosho Ultima. And yes pinion...

Hmm. Seems like your current set up is a little low - do you find it jumps of the line but runs out of legs on the straight ?
If the buggy has the same tranny as the truck (Ultima ST-R), then your ratio is 2.5:1, so a 22/84 or 22/86 might be a good place to start (which gives you a final drive of 9.54 or 9.77 respectively).
If the trannies are different, then you need to find out the ratio - it should be in the manual.....

The trannys should be the same on the RB and ST. I think most of the difference is in the chassis (ST is about an inch longer) and the front end. I'll try a 20-22 tooth and keep my spur, thanks.
