I dont know alot of stuff about the buggy, so I dont know what a good servo would be. Is this one good? http://www2.omnimodels.com/cgi-bin/woi0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=FUTM0222&P=7

THANKS!

I could not get the link to load, but all i am sure of, is that you do not near need the servo that you put in the truck, due to the lighter weight, and smaller tires, too quick of a servo, and your car will feel very twitchy

That's way too expensive. Check these two out:
Hitec 945MGS (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?Q=1&I=LXNZ36&P=0)
Airtronics 94358Z (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?Q=1&I=LXTT13&P=0)

They'll be more than enough performance for any purpose you have. I'll probably get the Airtronics, but there's nothing wrong with the Hitec.

Actually, this one would be good for a buggy, too, and it is WAY cheap (but still good quality):
Hitec 625MG (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?Q=1&I=LXUZ87&P=0)

I agree with Nairb and xxxer. good is good enough, you don't need great, especially with the buggy. spend the extra on batteries for more practice time.

OOHHH, I'm paying that much for it!!!! I might get a brand new one for $20 from Ebay.
What about the Hitec 625?

Well, the link loaded for me.

That is an aircraft servo. It is not very fast, and not a superstar of torque. But it is VERY accurate. That is why it is $140.

I run a Air 94357 servo in my Triple X. The 358 that Nairb suggested is the high torque version, which is not necessary for a car. I actually run a 357 in my electic and gas trucks as well.

Better to spend the money now, as a good servo will last you a LONG time.

See ya...

I agree with Sir Speedy on paying for it now & lasting a long time. I also have an Airtronics 357 in my XXX, and one of my boys also has one. He was using a JR4735 in his GT & then went bought an Airtronics 357. He was switching this servo back & forth between his T3 & GT until I told him try the JR4735 again, & he did. As it turned out he likes the JR better for several reasons. One of which is that it is easier on steering components. The 4735 has less gear reduction which allows it to give a little easier when you hit something. You can easily turn the wheels of a car with a 4735 servo when the power is off, almost like there's no servo in it. This lessened reduction also keeps the gears from breaking. We have 6 JR4735's & I just bought a newer version a 4750 today. We have not broken a gear in one of these in 5 years. They sell for $80->$90 in local hobby stores. They are very fast, high torque, & very dependable at a reasonable price. Works great for us!

Will the Air work with a futaba Rx? I think it has the stupid "Z" connector.

Dude, that "stupid" Z-connector mas made for the sole purpose of having standardplugs that will fit in ALL receivers, including FUTABA, Airtronics, Hitec, JR, etc. It will fit beautifully.

SSOO the Z connector will work with any Rx? Mabey the AIR "Z" Rx's can only use the Z connector. I must have got them mixed up :)

I would recommend one of the Hitec digitals if you want a good servo for the money. I haven't run one myself, but I know a couple of people who do, and they are very happy with them. and Hitec has always been a good company to deal with, in my experience. I just bought a 3d, and whenever I need to replace or get more servos I will buy those Hitec digis. Best bang for the buck, IMHO. But I have not been around RC as long as most others...
