My dad is runing a T4, with a stock motor. He will be staying with stock as well. But he wants to convert over to lipo. What size battery should he get? I know with my mini and the brushless I need a 20C rated pack but not sure for the 1/10 scale motors. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

umm the Team Orion or Peak Racing li-po packs will work fine. Kinda pricey though. There are pleny other packs out there but I'm to lazy to type anything else right now. lol

I just want to know what C rating to get. I know with my mini brusless I need a 20C but what about for a stock brushed motor.

It will depend on the capacity of the pack. A 1/10 scale should require a 20C long before a mini should. If you really want to know the C rating then please list an average discharge current and the capacity battery you are interested in.

Go with the Team Orion PLatinum. It fits right into your truck and is designed for use in R/C cars.

You ought to check into the Scorpion packs. They feature a built in LowVoltageCutoff, LVC, and built in cell balancing.

Im not sure what battery im interested in yet. I thought that the motor would determine that pack I get.

If all you will run will be a stock motor, then a pack with about 30+ amps cont. delivery would be plenty I'd think.

The C rating by itself doesn't tell you anything without the capacity of the pack. You could get a 2000 mah 20C or a 4000 mah 10C and they would both delever the same 40 amps.
www.maxamps.com has some pretty good deals. Any of the "car" packs would work for you.
