It's an electric 1/10 scale with TR shocks. I have 60wt in there now but it's way to squishy... wondering what you guys use. I typically like a hard shock and spring combo.

Er... 60 = onroad oil. I used to run 25 all around but im goin to go with 25 in front and 30 in back.

60wt sounds awfully thick. I use 35-40 wt in my XXT. You probably need stiffer springs if it's still "too squishy".

I found that 35 wt works good on many track surfaces.

Firstly, what car are you using? Different cars have different shocks and pistons. In my Rustler, i have the Big Bore shocks, and i will use 45 in the front, with 50 out back(trust me guys, it is THE setup) and in my XXX, i have yet to use anything thicker than 32.5 weight, whereas, i am using 25 out back, and 30 up front(great set-up)

Tell me this, are your shock pistons slotted or does it have holes? If they are slotted, you use a thicker viscosity oil.

Almost sounds like you could go for stiffer springs more than anything else. If you are just making the preload stiffer(meaning, you are using a lot of shock clips, or you are putting the collar waaaay down) that does not do a bit of good to make it stiffer. A spring's rate stays constant throught the entire movement.

My car is the Ultima RB (buggy version of the ST). I have the stock TC shock and springs but I'm thinking of getting stiffer shocks. They are medium now. I might get med hard for the back and hard for the front. I'm using 60wt oil in shocks all around cause thats what I had at the time but looks like i have the wrong set up... Thanks for all your help guys.

Try 30 front and 25 rear. Then run the Front A-arms Level with the ground. And in the rear run the ""Dog bones/CVD's"", level with the ground.

Pity Kyosho don't bother to include shock oil in the Ultima kits or even recommend a weight to use. Seems like a serious oversight to me. But anyway, as everyone suggests, 60 is too heavy. I run either 25 wt all round or 25 front 30 rear in my XXX buggy and XXX-T. Hopefully your stock out-of-the-box springs are somewhere in the ballpark.....
