TC3 Team kit question ???

Hey fellas,

I just purchased my second rc car kit, a tc3 team kit, my first was a tl-01. Anyways, my question is what screws do have to apply thread lock to. All, some, ??? I've looked over the instructions several times and to no avail.

Any other tips for building this car would be greatly apreciated.

On the TC3 none of the screws need thread lock except for the set screws that hold the pins into the CVD's. Have fun with the TC3 and as far as other building tips there really arn't any except use a little bit of bushing lube on the steering rack bushings otherwise the instruction manual is very good.

Funny you should mention that set screw on the CVD's.

I am now missing one hinge pin... :D

Are you talking about the CVD pin? If so, I read a tip in RCCA that really works. Get a piece of heatshrink tubing and slip it over the joint, then shrink it with a blow dryer. As long as the tubing is tight, it will keep the pin in place.

The CVD pin on my B3 started to come out and created a deep gouge in the rear a-arm (because of the pin stayed in but keep rotating).

I did that to the CVDs on my FT T3 but it just kinda never... clung to the CVD... maybe I should try again. But i didn't lose any.

Ya i did that as soon as i got my team TC3. Going on probibly around 50 runs and only one heat shrink tube has gotten messed up. That has to be one of the best tips.
