I posted this on CFX but I figured I would post it here as well. This is not R/C, it's on some ATV drag bike parts but the concepts still apply on Lexan you just need to change the order of the steps.


The only colors that I used were; Orange, Blue, and White. First I mixed up a brown using the orange and blue. Then I made a lighter color for the base by adding some white. I made a darker brown by adding more blue to the original color. The last color that I mixed was for the highlights, I just added some more white to the base color.


1. The base color with the start of the middle tone work.

3. Finishing the middle tone and starting the darker tone.

It's a helmet display stand. I have a couple of them that I got about ten years ago.
