I am trying to decide between purchasing a used Factory Team TC3 and a new TC3 Racer. One of the questions would be what are the part differences and how do those part difference make the car less or more brittle to impact (not all racers on our track care if they run into you).

I would be purchasing the Factory Team TC3 for the same amount as a new TC3 racer would cost except I would also need to purchase an engine for the Factory Team. Let me know if it is worth it especially if I am not planning on racing all the time.

Racer TC3 is KILLER price...IT have everything..but Blue Factory TC3 dont have bumper, body, and wheels, and it is very expensive..forgot it.. Racer TC3 is good deal for you and you can pick your choice of different body. I have Racer TC3 with Chrysler body. I heard about Chrysler is good handling and speeding. I guess that I got right car heheh. :D :D :D

Question about the used FT TC3, is the seller including a body & wheels & tires? If he/she is, then I'd say go for it, it has almost EVERY hopup you'd ever need, & it DOES come with the same plastic & foam bumpers that the other 2 TC3's have. The main thing I'd be concerned about is what condition the used one is in, if it's got a lot of wear then maybe you would be better off with a new Racer kit, as replacing the worn perts might cost you quite a bit more than you'd think..... :)

No, the graphite parts don't really make it any easier to break, they just lighten & stiffen up the car. If anything, the graphite parts can take a little more abuse before they break(but like all molded parts, they can only take so much, then they snap, that's why some think they're more fragile, that's the trade-off, stiffer makes them a bit easier to break once you push them too far). So, in truth a Factory Team is no more likely to break than a Racer & regular Team, & with an aftermarket part or two(like BRP's front bumper & nerf wings) you can deal out a lot of hits & it'll keep slugging.... :)

Thanks.. I am going to check out this Factory Team and make sure there is not excesive wear on the car. Then I will probably just buy it (and a new radio, speed control, batteries, charger). This 150 car is going to cost be 300+.

Everything on the used FT TC3 is included except for electronics, batteries, and motor. He also said there were upgrade parts better than what came with the FT. I am going to look at the car next weekend to decide how good of a shape the car is in, but the main question is would you recommend giving that car to someone who would more than likely crash at every turn?

My main reason for asking is if I would break less parts with the TC3 racer compared to TC3 FT. :(
