i'm going to buy a Novak atom esc soon and i have a few questions about it. first, does it have the 3 wire system like the dually esc? second, if it does, how do you wire it like that? i'll be using tamiya connectors. if you have any pics of your atom esc please post them, that would really help me out. also, if you could tell me all the wires i would need to get it running that would be a big help. thanx

thanx chizz. so the blue wire goes to the negative tab on the motor, and the red wire goes to the positive tab on the motor. then the red wire and the black wire form the battery connector. is that right?

yeah you got it, you have to split the red. i did mine at the motor tab, but you can just stack 2 wires over the atom post, or even just connect a wire right in the middle of the wire that goes to the motor by cuttin off a bit of the tubing and soldering them together. :)

No, as long as you have a means of cutting & stripping the wire some solder & a good soldering iron, you have everything you need to install it.... :)

Now that your moving up to a high quality ESC you should also consider ditching those Tamiya connectors. The Deans Ultra connectors are easy to assemble and have much lower resistance then the Tamiya's. Especially if you plan on running a modified...the Tamiya's have a tendancy to melt together.
