So, I finally got my new power supply today. I ordered it last Thursday and finally got it today. All this waiting almost killed me. The switch is set to 110 V, this is right, isn't it? All I need to do is screw in the power wires and my charger plugs, right? It's weird that the outputs are paired this way (- - + +), I would've expected them to be - + - +, but it doesn't really matter. What a nice little gem...

Anything else to suggest?

Thanks, bro.

The duratrax/apex/integy power supply works good and is cheap, but nothing beats a rivergate!

Dude, go here ( http://www.mpja.com/product.asp?product=12422+PS ) to see what SirSpeedy told me about. This is a power supply that is very similar to the Novak N-Power, but it's SMALLER! I just got mine and it worked like a champ all day long. I love its small size & weight, not to mention its reliable operation. It will power two chargers at once, but you might want to run a fan on it then. I had a little computer fan going at mine and I never felt it even get warm all day long. This is definitely the best buy I've ever heard of for up to 2 chargers...

Hey Nairb or Speedy: I too am looking for a cheaper power supply for my Millenium. Is it really comparable to the N-power? How about the compatability? is there any tinkering involved to make it work or what? It has gotten good praise so far and I visited the website. Thanks for any help http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Dudes, it kecks serious buttocks!! It's about one inch wider, half as tall, and a few inches shorter than an N-Power, dimension-wise. The voltage and amp ratings are almost the same. Check both websites and you'll see that mine has an extra amp or two, over the N-Power. They both have screw terminals to attach your power input and output (to charger) cords. This baby only weighs 1.5 lbs! My old one weighs 10lbs! Seriously, I weighed it Saturday. The only thing the N-Power has that mine doesn't is purple anodizing and a fan, but you shouldn't need a fan unless you're working it by hard running two chargers at 5 amps for a few hours. You should have no problems running it. When you order it, you'll have to order a $0.99 power cord to use with it, because it doesn't come with one, or you could buy one at Radio Shack (I did) or even use an old lamp cord. The only other thing I did was stick some small rubber feet on the bottom (also from RS). I highly reccomend this baby; it's the best deal I've seen in a long time.

is there anything special about the power cord and coold you give me the part number (from rs)?

should i order directly from the company or somewhere else?

I might get this, another charger and another battery with the money i got for the holidays. I need a good power suply to power the two chargers since the e-maxx uses 2 batteries.

I don't have a part number for the cord, but it's just a regular AC plug that has stripped ends (to be screwed down on the PS). You can get one for a buck on the MPJA website, too. Yeah, order right from the website, you'll get it in a couple days. This is really the best option, man. We should both thank SirSpeedy for pointing this great deal out to us all. He's a great guy.

How much is the Millenium? $100+

This one is $45. A cord is $1, and you can get a fan for $2.

Narib-

You said it was a little taller than the N-Power. The only dimension that mine is larger than the Novak is in the width.

The Novak is about 2.5" square, and 10-11" long. This supply is 1.2" x 2.3" x 6".

See ya.....

Dude, I totally slipped on that one. I know, I know; it is only wider than the N-Power...I edited my post. It is only a little wider than the N-Power, and its dimensions fit in a toolbox better, anyway. Frankly, I see no reason not to buy one. I guess that's why I did buy one, eh? http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
