Can a speed control that holds a 20-turn motor hold a 17-19 turn motor?

what esc is it? and i would recommend a tekin rebel anyway, its great for the price, and can go down to 13 turns realiscally.

but normally i would say no, unless you have a fan, or its in a huge draft, also i would not get one anyway, you can race mod with it, you can only race stock. trust me, you are going to want a mild mod for bashing.

but what esc (thats the biggest Q, and if its a msc then no its cant)

the answer to your question is no. there are several inexpensive esc's that would work well though like those from duratrax and fma

You can get away with it if you're careful and it's not old. There are a lot of those old Futaba ESC's out there that had 20 turn limits on it.

I've used an Explorer ESC from Novak with my 13 turn double and it worked fine but I took it easy.

Do like mentioned above, just buy yourself an inexpensive one that will handle it. Then you don't have to worry about something standing between you and your fun.
