Well I really want some side by side batteries and I'm affraid if I solder them myself that I will overheat them and ruin them. I'm not a horrible solderer but I'm not that great. So I was wondering if anybody had any batteries from Fusion Batteries and if they were worth it. They soldering system is suppose to give them lower resistance and plus they seem resonably priced.
I really want some 4200's because well.... I want to move up from my 3300's. I allready get 15+mins of runtime with a 12X2 I'll hopefully get quite a bit more with 900 more mah's. Also I want to move up from stick packs, it makes me feel like such a noob (which I'm not) when I'm sitting in the pits and everybody has side by side packs and I'm the only one with stick packs. I can still keep up with the guys without stick packs but still... It will make me feel a lot less noobyish. lol. I made a up word.
So if anybody has bought these batteries or any batteries from Fusion let me know what you think of them.

I know some people who have Fusion batteriy packs. They don't seem any better or worse than anyone else's packs. The main advantage is that they are put together for you.
I am like you too, don't solder well, and I have ruined a few cells. So I like the idea of getting them pre-built.

I just looked through all the pages of batteries on towerhobbies and the only 4200's (or more) that I could find that where pre assembled where by Trinity and cost the exact same price. After buying Deans plugs the Trinity batteries would be a dollor more but that extra dollor doesn't really make any difference. Also the Fusion batteries you can get with Deans plugs allready soldered on (less chance for me ruining anything). I think I would prolly rather have the Fusion one's then the Novak ones just bc...

I have fusion, I have the 3300 i think. They dont work any better or worse then other packs that I have tried. But got a great deal on them. I got 3 plus a shirt for like the price of 1.5 packs. Good customer service as well.

Yea I'm not looking in any performance advantage over any other companies 4200's I just want some preassembled sideXside batteries for not high of a price with good quality.

Also try Promatch. They don't have any killer deals going on right now, but they change every month. I got a ton of great IB3800 packs for less than $40 each a few months ago. They also do great soldering work.

I believe offshoreelectrics.com has assembled IB4200's for cheap. They were out of stock last time I checked though. Anyone know how IB4200's have been doing? Durability? Power? Better than IB3800's or GP4300's?

Erikrc10 soldering isn't hard. I suggest if you try soldering end to end that you try on some old junk packs before trying on good cells. The trick is a good iron. We have weller 80 with a tip that's specially made for us to use with this iron. It does a good job of holding the heat. You can info on how to do it here

SS Pede, thanks for the plug!
