Futaba MC330CR and Novak XXL

First off, is the Futaba MC330CR good at all??? it fits my needs because I only plan on messing around with it. does anyone know how hot it gets with a 13-Turn motor???

Also, I plan on getting a Novak XXL but I don't understand where the crystal goes if there is any??? :rolleyes:

Yes! I have the ESC and I really like it. It is very tiny too - the only ESC I can think of right now that's smaller is the LRP Quantum. While not a racing ESC, it is very good for playing around. I'm not sure how hot it would get with a 13turn, but I had a 19 double in there (TC3) and it barely got warm at all.

I have the XXL reciever... the crystal is tucked on the side... barely noticable :cool:

ok thanks guys.... both of these are going in my TC3... need $30 more for the Racer. in the pics of the XXL you can't see anything so that solves the problem.

PeterV did a review of the 330 and he ran it with a 13T motor and said it worked flawlessly. I have the 230 and it is great! They are basically the same ESC but the motor limits are far less.

And the 330 has a higher amp output.

I just ordered the 330 and I'll give you my inpressions after I play around with it. It's small and I needed a small ESC in my rig. (also looks cool) ;)
I was comparing specs and it rivaled alot of the LPR's and Novaks for half the price. Another plus for offroading is that it has reverse.

yeah i saw the review but i wanted some more input from others who had it.

i may race every "now and then" at the one track about twenty minutes away. i'm not that interested in racing touring cars so I didn't need a racing ESC. now i'll be able to do reverse 180s and 360s!!! :p :D SWEET!!!
