I think the tekin. But I prefer LRP and Novak.

I have a Rebel, it's not bad for an entry-level ESC. But it's big compared to a LRP V7 or a Novak Cyclone. I had it in my XXX for a while but the big heatsink rubbed the paint off the inside of the body where it touched. Now I've got a Cyclone in there, much smaller. That said, the Reb never gave me any trouble and I still use it in a basher car.

if you can get it cheap, and it still work, get the rebel. but tekins gone now if you have any problems with it, there is another company, but they are ex employees of tekin. in think express tech is the name of it

well after a bit of thinking i have decided to go with the duratrax streak because it does not have reverse so i can race and duratrax is still in busness and i comes with a 120 day warranty not to mention i have asked many people that have it and they have had NO complaints and plus its 10 dollars cheaper than the rebel. thanks for your help guys

You should check out the latest issue of RC Car Action... It has a whole thing about all the ESCs by all the top companies with pros, cons, and price.

i love(d) my rebel, i could run down to 12t and only then would it shut down, and unlike most reverasable esc's it also is able to disable revesre, AND unlike most is able to have reverse delay. which allows reveres, just at a set time after forawrds

I had a tekin before. It was a g12c and it was sweet. It broke and i sent it to tekin to get repaired. it never came back and a few days later the guy at the hobby shop said tekin was out of business because they hadn't answered orders of their products.

Is the Rebel really gone? Tekin doesn't make this speed control anymore?

RE Tekin: I don't knpw if it means anything for shure but Tekin has just revised their web site in March 2001. I shure hope they stay in business as we have 4 112c's, a 350 discharger & three speed controls, all of which have been excelent for us, except for minor problems with the discharger.
