Well I have used the water method and it seems to work fine for me. After I did it my motor flew! Just after you run it under water make sure to spray it out good with motor spray. After you spray it out run the motor for just a second to get excess water out and then use a hair dryer to blow the rest dry.

Are Comm Drops the same as Break in Drops?

I stay away from water personally, there is just something about dipping my brand new motor into to a glass of water that i do not like, so, i say the comm drops, if you have a 4 cell pack, i say use it, i just tore down one of my old stick packs that had a cell go belly up, and rewired it as a 4 cell, and it does a great job of breaking in brushes, with comm drops, it makes the job even faster, use Kinwald 2000 Comm Drops
