I thought I should issue this warning, just in case there are any other newbs out there that are as talented as I am at working on their cars.
I installed new Ball Diffs front and rear in my X-ray M18 a few days ago. Put a battery in it, held the car in my hand and pulled the trigger, Vroom, vroom she went, ok great lets try it out, took it outside set it on the street and pulled the trigger, and the car just kinda vibrated, but would not go at all. It looked like it was in pain. Picked it up pulled the trigger, and vroom, vroom, the wheels are screaming away. Now I'm thinking, how can that be.
Pulled the trigger just a little and looked closer, rear wheels are turning forward, and the front wheels are turning in reverse.
Now I don't know the difference between a front one way and a ball diff, but I do know now, that a ball diff only goes in one way. :o
The good news is I turned the front diff around and put it in the right way, and now that little car is like a missle on wheels. :D
