View Full Version : Should I trade in my XXX-T for a Rustler?

I got a XXX-T a little while ago. It's mostly finished but, lately I've decided I really didn't want to race just yet, maybe in a year or so. My question is should I buy a Rustler for bashing or keep the XXX-T? I think I could sell the XXX-T for about $150 and I could us the extra money for other things snice a Rustler is only $100. If I sell it is $150 a good price? It's half built and never been run. Thanks for the help.

$150 USD sounds reasonable, as long as it's never been run and all the unassembled bits are still there! Have you painted the body or cut it yet ? I want to buy a XXX-T soon (still waiting on a bonus from work).

On the other hand, I think a Rustler isn't really in the same league....

The body is bright orange and has green Orion decals on it. The body is also cut.

DUDE! Don't even think about it! You've already got the XXXT; don't even think about downgrading. Why would you? I don't get it. Just finish building the darn thing, you'll love the truck! I love mine BIG TIME!

Where did you get this crazy idea? Man, putting a truck together is NOT that big of a deal. Sure, it took a few weeks for me to put together my first RC10T and I didn't love doing it (because I had no idea what I was doing), but it was very satisfying to finish and I'd never give back the experience I've gained from building and maintaining my own truck. Go for it man, you won't regret it. Putting together the XXXT is CAKE compared to how it used to be. Don't be discouraged, man. You can do it. There is no reason in the world to trade that beauty for a measley Rustler.

The XXXT is very bash worthy, and it just involves a little more maintenance than others, because that is not what it is made for, but it can, i have a rustler that is the car i take my aggresion out on, and it is nowhere near the XXXT, i love the rustler, but i would trade it in for a T in a second, plus, i have nuts hopups on it(too many, not worth it).

Nairb is right, he does love his car, he pampers it more than he would an infant, it almost makes me sick

Nairb, I'm with you on this one. I pamper my buggy and trucks to the max. Hey can't play with 'em if their broke http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/wink.gif I also agree with go ahead and build the xxx-T and keep it. It's much better than a Rustler.

Just think when the time comes that you wanna race you already have the truck thats the best at it!

I have dumped a ton of money into my XXX-T which i have turned it into a Kinwald Edition! Hahaha i already have the XXX-T KE.

When i get home from a long hard race my truck is treated to a nice bath next to candles and every spec of dirt is cleaned off of it http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I love this truck and its not leaving me for a LONG TIME.

To sum it up.....KEEP THE XXX-T you will make us all happy knowing you didn't downgrade!

What are you thinkin. You need a slap across the face i have a rustler all peaked out and i would trade it for the XXX-t in a second the rustler is and ok car but dude the XXXt now thats a truck you want somthin to bash then get a radio shack car or somthin but dont trade the xxxt for a rustler!
