[TL-01Viper]

ive had my TL-01 for a while now but i want to make it faster
do any of you guys know how i can make it faster,so far my car has these hop ups

carbon prop shaft
bearings
turn buckles
lrp runer esc
reedy rage type r 27 stoct
2 1500 batteries
acoms radio

Well a 27turn motor is ok, but if you want some real speed, get the lowest turn motor your ESC will allow. Unfortunately, the LRP Runner can only go down to a 20turn motor. A 23tooth pinion and speed tuned gears would also get you some more speed.

hey my esc motor limit is 12 turns how fast do u think it will go with a 13T double and the stock pinion?

How much more speed did you get? (mph on average) How much less run time? also, does it decrease on topspeed and increase on accel, or does it increase accel and decrease top speed? thanks!

I changed to a 23 tooth pinion and mine goes much faster now. cuts down on run time though. If you don't have oil shocks put some on, it makes the handling much better

Bullfrog if go down to 13T motor you might have to change the gearing.

i was getting about 20 mph before, and now i get a bit less than 25 mph

It decreases acceleration but increases top speed. Its not that much, hardly noticable unless you're racing competitively

Run time was about 8-9 mins before on my 1500 and now its about 7

speed huh? well im your man... first off, get a a hotter motor... that 27 is kindergarden stuff... a nice D4 like a 12x2 to a 6x2 would be nice if ya want real speed... opt to change that speed control to a cyclone tc... some better shocks if ya dont have any... oh and pick up some delrin parts from megatech... i hear that stuff is light... and that should shed some grams off that car... happy hunting.

Hey Viper... i just ordered all the hop-ups from megatech... cost was about $258... i got all the aluminum parts instead of the delrin... cause i dont think im gonna race that soon-to-be beauty "Megatech TL-01" but anyways i though i just shared that with you :D
