I know I've read a repair how to here some time ago, but I can't find it now.

Someone recently asked me a how they can "fix" a problem with mounting holes in the wrong location. It seems that they drilled the holes 1/4" off.

I thought I read about people taping the outside of the body and filling the hole with some sort of glue. I would guess the repaired area could be painted (outside) in an attempt to blend in the color. I don't remember what glue or how the repair area looked.

Can you help?

Thanks

I'm not sure about filling the holes but I have used self adhesive lexan strips for a number of body repairs including misplaced mounting holes. I believe they are used for reinforcing the sides of 1/24 slot cars were the body clips attach but they make great lexan Band-Aids.
