i am with baja- the stampede consistantly wins jumping contests we have in our club, but you have to consider the driver, hop-ups and type of jump too

MRC baja kings and thunder kings are awesome. With a couple of mods and 2000's, you can really launch one of these 1/8 trucks!

one of the trucks i have jumped against was a losi xxt and my stampede jumped about 1 foot further...on a 10 inch ramp i can hit over 14 feet...with a garnet speed gem and stock bushings

This is like comparing a yamaha YZ 250(T3, XXXT) aginst a honda goldwing(stampede, baja king), in a jumping contest.

I have a hopped up 'pede (rebel, trinity 10t motor, losi shocks ect...) and i'll challenge anyone who thinks they can out jump me... (as long as i don't have to do any turning the motor is a bit hot for the 'pede to handle)

Lets change this question a little, what would be a better platform to build on for jummping?, somthing that would fly far but consistantly land on all four wheels.
I think any truck or buggy from ae, losi or kyosho. They are capable of much faster speeds given the same equipment(buggys for sure), they have much lower CG's so they are more stable in the air and have better suspensions to land on.
If i had to pick between a truck or buggy for distance it would be a buggy hands down,
if you think a pede would fly farther geven the same equipment you are just kidding yourself.

What about high jumps, off radical platforms ? Then which one ??

stampede still. with its long suspension travel it can take alot more hard landingsthan the rest

i jump my xxx alot and if you know how to control it in the air it will always land on four wheels. You should buy an aluminum pivot block if your going off realy big jumps. I jump it off a 5 and a half foot jump alot and i've broken it twice.

HPI RS4 MT. Its awesome in the air with the 4wd. It was in "The Total Guide to Big Air." It was an article which they jumped four different vehicles with many modifications. It was in the August 2000 issue.

If you are looking for big air, and landing it...without breaking. I would have to go with the XXXNT

You guys are funnnny saying a buggy jumps better than a stampede.HAHAHAHAHA,I own a FT B3 and it jumps great but a stampede jumps the best,And it will be less likely that the stampede will bottom out like a buggy will do everytime.STAMPEDE-STAMPEDE-STAMPEDE.Losi yeah right??

I can agree with RC Crazy somewhat in that an HPI RS4 MT can jump very well. Only thing is, after it does you've got to fix what's broken. Frankly, I'm getting tired of it.

lets change it up a lil bit which chassis will jump better with out bottoming out,I cant wait to here what comes after this,I jumped my pede it would go 5ft or so in the air and it would NOT bottom out and it would not bounce,Im talkin smoooooth baby,Thanxz to the ae shocks I used,Green springs with 45 wt. oil.I also used masher tires from proline.T3 bottom out,Hpi rs4 mt bottomed out,Rustler bottomed out,Stampede nope not a chance.
