Since my stock VX-12 fried I looked for a suitable replacement. I am running an experiment using the Super Rooster which some guys before me had tried and so far it is working out great!

The SR is not rated for 14.4 volts but it is running cooler than the stock VX-12 did.

I learned about this from the Maxx Traxx board and a guy named Digger was the first to experiment with it and record all the temps, to the best of my knowledge.

Everytime I try to register on that board my computer freezes so I give up.

Anyway, thought some guys here might not have heard about the SR conversion so here ya go! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

That is pretty cool. I have noticed that my E maxx runs way too hot. Those roosters seem like they are made quite well. Speaking of experimenting, I have tried some different motors in my E. I had a couple of stock Tamiya 540 motors, retrofitted those into the truck and they ran pretty well. Anyways, does the rooster add to the run time? Thanks, D.
