Does anyone know if battery manufactures sell or make pre-built saddle packs? I still haven't gotten the hang of soldering batteries yet. I'm kind of afraid of blowing them up by getting them too hot. I need a new Iron anyways. Mine is only a 25 watt pen style.
thanks,

Mavrick nothing is wrong with 25 watts. On another post people were saying that to solder batteries they suggest nothing less than 40 watts. In the Novak "How to...." section they suggest 45 watts. And no, your question isn't really off the subject. I did include reasons why I was looking for the pre-built saddle packs. Besides, my soldering tool is real old.
I don't want to turn this into another soldering thread but the above mentioned site does seem to have real good tips on how to solder R/C related items.
MAXX, how pricey are they. I went to thier site but didn't see them. If anyone has a link to were to find them I would appreciate it.
Thanks,

Check out finedesignrc.com. They don't show them on their website, but if you call them, they will build them for you. I ordered a saddle pack of Sanyo 3000 mahr with Dean's connectors about a month ago. I think the total came to around $65-$70.

Thanks jrob440. I will check them out. I am trying to stay away from 3000s since I don't feel like buying another charger. But I do feel like moving up to a 2000 or 2400 battery from the 1500s that I am running now. The run time for the 1500s are too short.
