What the difference between a stock motor lathe and a mod motor lathe?
Cobra says the arm has to be removed to use the mod motor lathe.
I have a rebuildable stock motor, so can't I take the arm out of the GM3 and use the mod motor lathe?

In the OLD days, stock motors used to be sealed, meaning that you could not take the armeratures out, so, the made a lathe, that could cut the comm, while still in the can, that was then, now, Mod motor lathes are what to buy, unless you have a huge stock pile of sealed stockers.
Basically, if you can take the armerature out of the can, without modifying/damaging it, you cut them on a Mod motor lathe.

If you only race in stock class w/ rebuildable motors such as a GM3, you only need to have a mod motor lathe. Stock motor lathes are becoming obsolete.
