5 amps is a good charge rate.

I think the most a vision peak 2 charger can do is 4 amps, so use that :D

Most 1/12 chassis only have room for 4cells, unless it's an older version when 6cells were allowed. Charge rates will depend on what you a planning to do with it, bashing is pretty much out of the question-surface would need to be smooth and clean. For racing charge rates depends if you are racing stock, 19turn, modified onroad or oval. Stock and 19turn oval 6-7amps, mod oval-5-6amps while onroad is about one amp lower 5.50 -6amp stock/19t onroad 4.50 to 6amp mod onroad. Higher rates gives more voltage output, lower rates will work, but you may not get the punch you need.

ok great thank you it is an older 1/12 scale associated and i will be using it for bashing, parking lots ect, this thing really rips with 6-cells i may have to go with 4-cells thanks for your reply. :D

Should be fine with 6cells for bashing, just that 4cell are used in organized racing. The other thing to be aware of, if you do convert to 4cells is if equipment (charger, esc) can operate on or charge 4cell pack.
