I want to know if this is a good inexpensive FM radio. I hear that I should go FM but they are all so **** expensive. I really don't want to spend over $100 for a radio. Any thoughts?
PS What about the futaba JR FM?
This is a pretty good radio. I've been using this for more than half year, all I can say is: so far ao good. The one I had before this was Magnum junior, with that I had a glitching problem, but then I switched that to Hitec FM, the problem disappeared.
PS. I think Tower is having this radio on sale now, it only costs $79.99..... I almost forget to mention that the servo came with the control did not perform well, it stripped very easily. You may need a better servo instead of that.

I've got the same radio. It seems to work great I havent had many problems with the servo, though I havent used it that much. The FM radio is excellent I have great range good battery life and decent range.

You shoud go to your LHS and put these radios in your hands to see how they 'feel'. I like the feel of the magnum radios much better than the hitec. The throttle on the hitec seems a little odd to me, but that's me. hitec servos are garbage, but then again, most standard servos are compared to 'competition' servos.I know you said the bb servo and i don't know about it. my choice would be the futaba magnum jr FM. I have a jr that is twelve years old and still works perfectly.
