Novak XXL reciever: I'm a little worried

I just bought a Novak XXL reciever for my TC3. The car isn't built yet but I was looking through the directions for the reciever and something got me worried. It says that at 75mhz, you must use an XXL Rx meant for your brand of transmitter. I thought I just had to use JR crystals but it specifically says the Rx must be meant for my Tx. The Rx I bought is an FM 75mhz for a Futaba and I have an FM 75mhz JR Tx.

The guy at the LHS just asked me if I needed AM or FM, he didn't say anything about this. Can someone please tell me what I need to do?

what they mean by "brand" is AM or FM as long as your XXL is FM also,it will work

Paxil, I'm not sure that's correct. I know I've never had any luck mixing brands of crystals. This is the reason the receiver has a brand specified. I know Hitec and Futaba will often times work interchangeable, but thats it. You could try it, but I wouldn't expect any stellar results. Also remember that just because it works ok for a while doesn't mean it isn't going to glitch in the middle of the A-main... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
