Not bad, the street price is pretty good.

Are these manufactured by Venom exclusively?

My only question is, you mention park fliers and helicoptors - what about cars? :)

Hmmm... Interesting. Could this be an omen that venom may try to wiggle their way into 1/10 brushless for cars?

On a side note, Peter, have you heard anything about Great Planes' "ammo" line up? I'm curious about them for use in a 1/10 car application (the 28mm dia. or 36mm dia. ones)...:D

maybe you should look at the realy big letters at the bottom of castlecreations home page that says "ALL CONTROLERS PROUDLY MADE IN THE U.S.A" and then come back....

I would suggest reading the fine print rather than "big" letters. They are generally a better source. Anyone can claim whatever on a website.. the point is it's MADE IN CHINA.

http://www.castlecreations.com/media/press-releases/PR-CM20.pdf read the last line and if you still don't believe me, then they need to be sued..

The controllers are probably made here, but the motors are probably made in China. Does it really matter that much though?

the only thing that matters to me really is when some dude comes on and says i'm wrong when i'm not. sorry this thread got hijacked. someone please delete all this stuff..

It's a shame they decided to use an improper method of determining the low voltage cut-off (LVC) that will lead to many ruined Lipos.

70% of 4.2V = 2.94V, assuming a fully charged battery. Every lithium manufacturer that I know of right now says specifically do not go below 3.0V/cell.

You'd think that they (Venom) would have been more up to par on this knowledge.

Can you modify a 380 size motor to run in a 1/10 car? I would like to try one out if you can.

Yes. You need an adapter plate. The shaft of the 380 motor should still be 3.17mm though. Send starluckrc an email, and he can hook you up (he and mike also sell 380c motors, which are a 400 size rotor with 540 size mounting holes and finned can).

This is the first offering and more motors and ESC's will be out later. This line up caters more towards the aircraft scene at the moment but VEN 1360 has been run in the Kyosho Half 8 and its pretty good. Its been track tested on an indoor track here locally. We had two guys run them. Its a long can motor so it has plenty of torque and the high KV of 4980 is all you need for most track driving.

I just like the fact that someone else is offering something cool. More choices are always welcome.

Thats cool and all but just remember it is made by venom!!!! I bought 1 of their modified fireball motors and was given 3 more of them for my Bday last year. GUESS WHAT all of them died the first day I used them and all of them went into the trash can!!!!!! I know it was nothing that I did because I put a differant Mod motor in the same B4 and had no problems with it, it didn't even get hot. My friends that have bought these motors say the same thing "JUNK" . Lastly the hobby shop that these were bought at have now stopped stocking them because of customer complaints. Spend a little more and get the Mamba or something else just stay away from Venom.
