Can anyone advise me here?

I'm getting a RC Car for christmas. I'm stuck between the HPI speed 2 or the Tamiya TA03 (Fully ballraced) I want a car where I can do on road and off that is very versitaile and can offer me the most enjoyment and fun. I want to race it at my local club as well. What would also be the best performer?

Thanks

Hi there.

My first car was a ta03, and i found it sturdy and durable. The thing with the ta03 is the drive system. if you try and stick a low turn motor in, it strips the spur gear, and then you have to buy a whole new gear set. also the one belt system doesnt help.

My current car is the RS4 rally, and it is much smoother, and just as durable. for example i hit a dip on the street at 30, and watched in horror as it spinned 6ft in the air, and landed on one wheel. Perfectly fine.

to sum up, tamiya = strong beginners car.
HPI = strong all rounder, and parts are just as easy to find as tamiya bits.

Buy the HPI rally. Simple as that. its the same as the sport 2(think thats what you meant) and you can go on and off road by adjusting the suspension)And its ballraced as well!
