Hi all,
I was planning on getting a new 1/10 Elecrtic Touring car.
I'm having a tough time deciding which one to get and I hope all of you can help. I would like high quality, lots of hop-up parts available. and something user friendly.
I was looking at :
associated TC3 team kit
HPI RS4 Pro 3
Team Losi street weapon
Are there any others I should consider ? Which would be my best choice?
Thanks

I would go with the TC3, because it has been a proven car to be killer on the track, the HPI is new, and i have not heard much about it's racing ability(I know it has it, but not any results)
The Street Weapon will soon be gone, it is to be replaced by a single belt drive TC, so, the AE is my choice, and i think that their design and chassis layout is just sweet

Losi is currently in development of a single belt TC. From what I’ve seen this car is AWESOME! Brian Kinwald is currently doing some prototype work on it now. Recently this car has been winning almost every pro stock/mod class race at my local track – doesn’t hurt that Brian is driving it… I don’t have any information on the working of the car or when it will be out (I’m not lucky enough to see the car without a body on it) but it’s impressive. The thing that really gets me is how quiet it is! Noise = friction = bad … and this car is extremely quiet. When this car reaches production stages it will be killer!
As for now I’d recommend the TC3. I own a factory team edition (I highly recommend the upgrade over the team/racer) and love to race it. The shaft drive is great too – very low maintenance. Again, like most posts on this subject check out your LHS and track. See what other people are driving, and ask them how they like them. Also look into the availability of parts. I think that the TC3 has some of the best part availability on the market today, but it all depends on your LHS. The worst thing is to have to wait days to get replacement parts because your LHS doesn’t carry them. And as far as how competitive you’ll be with the car --- most of the TCs out there now are competitive --- it all comes down to set-up and the driver. Hope some of this information is helpful.

I'd say the Tc3 as well its got a very efficient drive train and handles very well, and you see parts and hop ups for it almost everywhere.

From everything I have read go for the TC3. It seems to be the best bang for the money. I also just prefer the shaft drive systems over belts. The shafts should be lower maintenance then that of belts. Don't know myself since I too have been thinking about getting a TC.

just my two cents, but My vote is for the TC3, just picked up a used one real cheap and I love it. I should have gotten one of them in the first place instead of the Ofna Z10.

The new Losi sedan will be available in approximately 5-6 weeks.
The Triple X-S.
It is the innovation of the year. By far.
See ya...

I can't wait to hear and see more about it! I agree that it is revolutionary, as far as I know. Go read the story here at Horizon Hobby's website. It's a pretty good sneak peek at it (with one very dark pic).
