i was wondering if you can use a standard size comm lathe on these mini motors i have an integy super lathe wich works great on my 540 motors but i was thinking of adding an 1/18 scale to my collection,my club for now only allows brushed motors small or big block in the mini class. they still have not embraced the brushless seen yet(thats good for my wallet on 1/10 scale any way) so i was wondering if i bought one of these cobalt mini motors or the lrp version if i could cut the comms when i replaced the brushes or should i push for the brushless at the next meeting for 1/18 anyway because the mamba is not that expensive any help or suggestions appreciated

The lathe can be modified to hold the small arms probably.

I haven't heard of anyone doing this, one of the reasons brushless is so poplular with 1/18th, so let use know how it works when someone finally figures out how to set up their lathe ;)
