Can anyone recommend an easy to tune fuel for the os 21 xm outboard? I had been intrested in the formula irvine brand by mod/tech, as this semed the only product of marine fuel I could get my hands on at the local model shop. But I've read some conflicting reviews on this fuel; mainly for its lubricating factors in high reving motors. any give there :D help out there!!

Any fuel in the 20% nitro range works well for my outboard. I think im using elimator pro race or something like that, I just picked it up at the local hobby shop. It works well and is pretty easy to tune with. I know that the recommended 2 and a half turns on the needle valve was wayyy rich with this fuel. Good luck.

The higher the nitro the more difficult to tune! Anything in the 20-35% range should work just fine. Unless you know just what your doing stay away from something thats marked "racing fuel."
A good one to try thats not very expensive is Wildcats Heli Fuel. Yes thats right its marketed for Helicopters, but the fuel is the same, just has Synthetic oil. I have been using it in my outboards and inboards for a long time with no problems.

i've been using o'donnell 30% in my OB. i just add some byron castor to it to make sure it has enough lube. btw...mine is a K&B motor, but the fuel is the real topic, right? always make sure you have enough lube!!!!!!!!! and always run some after run oil, especially in an outboard. i had a set of bearings go bad in one week because i forgot my post run lube (talk about bad luck)! those motors are expensive enough as it is.
