Has anyone ever heard of a 12v 2300mAh ni-cd battery pack? It looks similar to the popular 7.2 ni-cd but longer. Appreciate any help in finding one. Thanks.
Can't say I've ever seen one, but really no reason there aren't any. At a guess, I'd say it was 10 cells in a 'stick'. Do you have one, or are you looking for one?

I saw an advertisement for a boat which came with that type battery, but I thought it was odd. I looked around but could not find anyplace that had one. I certainly would not want to get a boat if the battery was so difficult to find.
I can understand not wanting a hard to find battery. The alternative is to make up your own. Or, get extra ones from the manufacturor. Guess that would depend on how much you liked the boat...

I'm new at this Doc. Do you guys make up your own batteries? Is it a difficult process? I can't understand why a manufacturer would sell a boat if the batteries are impossible to get. Unless that's the idea. You HAVE TO buy it from them!
Well, the 'have to buy from me' thingy is always one idea. But, certainly not the overwhelming one. Putting together your own battery 'stick' is fairly easy if you have the proper equipment to do it with. The 'biggy' is making the solder connection to the cells. Don't want to get them too hot, but do want a good connection. If you're going to make a lot of battery packs then it's probably worth the price of the equipment. If you don't plan to make a lot of them, it's probably ea$ier to ju$t buy the things (that's what I do but that's because I'm lazy and cheap). That's something that you'll have to decide...
