I have used an electric screw driver for years, on all kinds of kits, it takes a little touch, but I don't strip out screw holes, or over heat plastic parts. Never had a screw loosen and fall out either.

I use a standard Black and Decker 9v electric screw driver. You do have to be careful. But it can be done.

It might work if you go a little, stop, then go a little more. But still, I would never use one mainly bacause you could easily strip the screw holes out. I even strip them by hand a lot. I geuse I don't know my own strentgh!

Does anyone here use an electric screwdriver to put their cars together?

We used to use them back in the day because we'd get tired of cranking all those screws by hand. The directions for my new car state to never use a power driver to put the car together because it will heat up the plastic. The ones we used ran very slow. Is there a power screwdriver that I could use safely on my car?

thanks
