Electronics space in the TC3 is very tight, I have a Novak Atom esc, because its small and will be getting an aileron servo to increase space for my reciever, which, right now is just a standard Airtronics unit, but I will get a Novak XXL, again to increase space.
The TC3 can handle just about any motor you stuff in it, with 10 turns being the mod standard these days, but even my paradox pro will get the back end out of shape if your not smooth on the throttle getting out of turns.
For wheels and tires just about any combo will do but if I were you I'd pick up a pack of 8 wheels from ofna (way cheaper than buying pairs) and Pro-line ST slicks in S3 compound.
The batteries you buy depends on your motor, 1500 or 1700mah is fine for stock motors but if you run mod I'd go 2000 or 2400mah.
Usualy 60/40 solder from radio shack is fine but if you have a bottemless wallet you can get silver solder, which has lower resistance.
The Atom ESC includes all the wire you'll need to install it in the TC3.
I hope I helped http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yeah, electronics space in the TC3 is pretty tight alright - I have a JR 507 servo in it at the moment (came with my XR3, so it's fairly down-market), a Novak XXL receiver and a Cyclone TC speedy. Trinity Green Machine 3 Pro turns the shaft.

The space isn't too tight, well compared to my RC12L3 that is. I run a Novak Cyclone TC for the ESC. I've heard that the LRP v7.1 is a little better for the TC3, but I think that's personal preference. Have an Airtronics micro receiver. Airtronics 94357 double ball bearing all metal gears servo. I’ve never bought a servo that’s not came with my radio, but this thing is awesome! I run a P2K Pro in my TC3. I like the added torque you get over the GM3. I have several GM3, but they don’t work as well for me. If you are going to be racing stock you need to get some high-quality 2000 or 2400 packs. If you are racing mod 3000 are what people run at my track. Money counts here – get a few really nice packs and ONLY race with them. Also pick up some packs for practice, 1700 or 2000 work well. See if anyone has any used one they are selling cheap – you’re only practicing with them. Make sure to also get a nice discharger to keep the batteries at top performance. Other things that I’ve picked up for my TC3 include a MIP tweak station, comm lathe, camber gauge, and so on…

Personally I love the LRP 7.1 and the HITEC DCX Dual conversion FM receiver.

I finally got my first electric car in 14 years,... a Factory Team TC3. I'm psyched! I haven't started building it yet since my bench is covered with T-Maxx parts at the moment (doing a little tear down http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ) but I'm ready to start buying the rest of what I need to get ready to race.

I have a radio (JR XR3) but I still need a servo, ESC, reciever, a couple of stick packs and a couple of motors. I'll need wheels and tires too but I'll check what they're running at the local track.

I would like to buy fairly high end stuff and I'm hoping to get some advice here. Oh yeah, I already have a charger too,... an Integy - it seems real nice.

Also, I will be buying a nice soldering iron soon. Is there a particular solder I should be using? What about wire? What type do I use?

Thanks in advance!
