I am painting a body using flaskolor and liquid mask. I was just wondering the order in which I should paint it. The colors are top: black, bottom: white, there anre going to be blue and orange graphics seperating them. This is my first body with liquid mask. I have always painted darkest first but if I do that I wont be able to see the line on the outside to cut the mask. So here is what I was thinking.

Orange then silver backing/outline
blue then silver backing/outline
black
white

What do you guys think will this work or will the black be seen though the other colors.

Thanks Jake

Blue, back with white.
Orange, back with white.
3 med. coats White backed 1 coat Silver.
Black the top and inside of the body for a finished look.

Thanks adrcracing. I am still going to outline in silver so just do that after I back in white, or when I am backing the white? If this turns out good it should be a pretty nice paint job.

Thanks again

I would do it after. Cut the whole design out then start painting.

Thanks again. I will post pictures when I am done. How knows if it is good enough I might add it into the comp.

I am not sure if this changes anything for the backing but the blue is faspearl blue and the orange is createx flouresant orange. I have the blue laid down so it wont be to long know. It is suppose to rain all day Saturday so I should be able to alot of it done.

adrcracing - you cut out every cut to be done before shooting? When I did cuts prior to shooting I found overspray of the wrong color sets in the crack. What's your trick?
