reciever problems

Newbie question. first time posting

I have a losi xxxs and my battery wire crossed and melted my antena a lil bit. Now the car can only go like ten feet before it deosnt respond any more. I changed out the burned wire and it still does the same thing. Is the reciever fried or is there anything i can do without buying a new reciever?

Did you replace the wire with antenna wire for your brand of reciever? Was it the same length And were you able to solder the new wire to the board cleanly?

If any of the answers is no, it sounds like the best thing is to replace it, hopefully its not very expensive.

Now go through the car and clean up the possible shorts every where, zip tie extra wire out of the way, put heat shrink over bare wire at your connectors so you don't lose a rx, batt, or esc later.
