The Rustler is a good abckyard basher truck. If you were gonna race it...........
The 20t stinger is fast if you are upgrading from a tyco but once you get good at driving it will be not so fast, but a good upgrade motor for it are the speed gems series. They arent tooo terible much and they have some go power. I have had mine for a few years now, and the worst i have done to it is bent the front drive pin. (the one that holds the wheel on) becuase i hit the garage..

It can do some pretty good stuff.

dont go trax, go AE, or Losi. cus there the competition you go to a track you dont see rustlers you see t3's and b3's and xxxt's and xxx's believe me dont go trax. it's good for a driving in front yard thing but team associated is fun and so is losi. plus its easy to find parts and they are the best all around in cars

I use a Novak Super Rooster. The reason i picked it was because it didnt have a turn limit, and it had reverse. It was $109. then. im not sure what it is now.

What are you going to do with it?, playing with it or racing it ?. if you are going to just play around with it and have some fun with friends its just fine, but if you plan on racing it your wasting your money on a rustler and rooster speed control, your money would be better spent on a T3 or a XXXT and a non reversing speed control of the same price as the rooster.
