I have experience in fiberglass and I use a dremel for that. I think any thing high speed is fine. nothing with teeth though.

I realise that carbon fiber isnt cheap, I heard somewhere around 30$ a sq ft
for .100. is that the thickness that would be good for a chassis and top deck for a nitro tourer?

thanks matt

I've gotten some 8 1/2x11 sheets in .63 or .85 thickness from C&M MFG (Cobra) Niftech and other places. For cutting a saber saw blade (new sharp blade) for soft metals or hard wood, carbide cutter and routers work the best. Use gloves and respirator when cutting or sanding graphite also place end of vacuum hose near the cutting position so it draws away most of the dust and fibers.

I remember you said you were going to get an RC18T. You might want to check this out if you're into carbon fiber.
