Any recommendations on anyone that makes a rebuild kit for AE shocks? I've grown to have a dislike for the way the shocks are working (mine seem to get to the point of a rebuild VERY quickly - and yes, I know how to work on shocks :) ).
Thankx

AE makes rebuild kits. What happens to your shox?

Oh yeah, I know AE does - Nothing is wrong with my shocks, but running light weight oil 20, or 25 in my FT B3 and 30 in my FT T3 my shocks seem to get a TON of squishiness (is that even a word?) and air in them VERY quickly, I'm about 90% sure its my doing, but I seem to get quite a bit of air back in through the seals even on a perfect build.
I consider the air(bubbles) inside the shocks as normal.
If only oil (100%),then the shocks can not be fully compressed.
Everytime I rebuild my B3's shocks I do not fully filled the shocks with oil.

nsane,
You may want to consider going to Silicone shock seals. They seal a little better than the stuck red rubber ones. MIP makes some.

Thanks Interceptor!
Do you know if the Pro-Line "Road Rage" tires will fit the 24mm axis rims?
Their website says, "They will fit both mid-narrow 24mm wheels and standard 26mm wheels." Are the axis rims "mid-narrow"?
Which size tire would you recommend? (24/26)

When I had my E Maxx, I installed the associated shocks, and I added some of the rubber blatter disks to them. Worked alot better than the regular way. I just redid the shocks on my tc3, took me all day. fill it, try to assemble it, spill oil, feels to hard, redo do it, let it sit for a hour to get air bubbles out. ARG!!!

Does anyone know what size wheels the tc3 comes with? I know they're pro-line axis but are they 24mm or 26mm?
Thanks

these are emulsion shocks. they are supposed to have air in them. the shocks don't work correctly until they have been worked a few times and develop air bubbles. with the light oil you are using, they will be very squishy. Shocks are supposed to be squishy.
after rebuiliding them, you should be able to work the shaft up and down a few times quickly, compress the shock all the way, then the shaft should rebound about 1/8", maybe a little more. If you want less squichiness, try a heavier oil.

Don't know about that, I have a set of the v rage on the traxxas 4tec rims, tires and wheels are 26mm. The only axis wheels I use come mounted to the Jaco tires I race with. Either one will work well for you. I think my jacos are 24 right now. When I first bought the car it had 26 on it. Both work really well.
