differential ?

I have an Evader ST with the GTB 5.5 and I just tore up the idler gear and I'm looking to replace it. On tower there is the direct replacement( plastic) and the Aluminum gear.

1) Which one should I go for? Is the metal one better?
2) Should I be thinking of replacing anything else in the diff? (diff gear)

Aqualato, Go with the aluminum, its alot stornger then the plastic one and they have a lot longer lifetime. If there is wear on any of the other gears in your diff get new ones so you will have a back up. Good luck!
