I have way too many tires. Does anyone make a good case designed to carry tires? If not, how do y'all carry them to and from the track?

I've seen some touring car guys use a sorta wire holder, basically the wire goes up the centre of the wheels, and there's a screw-on bit at either end to keep 'em in place.

I just have one of those clear storage bin things with a lid and just chuck them in that. Lots of other people at my track do it that way too.

Leet TC3,

I've always used tennis ball containers. They easily hold 8 touring car tires, and since they're clear, you can easily see which tires are in which container. Also, since they're air tight, they help keep the tires from getting dried out.

When I built my pit box I just made a tyre rack that runs the length of it.

Always, always carry your tires in your original kit box, for me the FT T3 box. (I did try to cram my truck tires into a pringles can once but I could never get them out again. No wheels and tires made it a bit challenging to be competitive, but that's another story. Thank you.

For TC tires, I cut lengths of styrene rod slightly longer than a stack of 4 tires, drill a small hole on each end for a body clip. Put 1 clip in, spindle your tires and then put the other body clip on to hold it.

I go to Walmart...(they sell the best junk plastic...)
rubermaid & sterilite has a box that holds tons of tires. There are a couple of bins with handles on top...
For my on-roads I line the bottom with layers of paper towel coat each tire in compound...throw them in the bin and maybe dump a little on the paper towel
open it a week later and wow the chemicals are still there (stinky)

I Stumbled on to this item while searching for tires and thought you might want to see it.
