Well im waiting for my back ordered gt7, i have these back from the last time i was in the hobby with my rc 10 graphite, and the good old tub and monster truck conversion, which all of which i still i have if anyone intrested. Well... to the point. I was going to slap the novak T4 into my new AE Ft t4 santa got me due to the ease of wiring and i can't really find any manual for the 410 mxc. If i remeber correctly there was a capasitor that had to be put on the motor, but with these newer motors, im not sure. I just wanted to tool around a little with the new kit untill the new esc came in. I wasn't sure if the mxc was worth the bother. Things sure have changed, i was just looking at my old 1500mah battery packs, and remembering how they were pretty top notch back then...lol. Well any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Go to teamnovak.com then click on downloads. They have the manuals for the old Novak speed controls to be downloaded. Most of the new motors have built in capacitors built in. I am not sure with these speed controls as it has been many years but you my have to solder on a schottky diode.

Also if I remember correctly the whole Novak 410 series was about the same. I belive that you can use the downloadable 410 manual for that speed control.

I owned several of the T4's, T1 and T1X still have a couple now, all you need to do is install the cap (micro farod noise suppression) most Epic have them installed, no Schotty Diode is required. Manual should still be availabe on Novak's site or try Competition X (www.competitionx.com) they have downloads for some older equipment and vehicles. Link to manuals is located under the RCGuide.

thanks for all the good advise. How much of a performance gain/loss is there between these older esc's and the new one's

I think the difference is so small, there won't be that much of a difference. But again it depends on what you intend to use it for, bashing or racing which then depends on the level of other drivers' skills and ability.
I used mine in the RC10 stock motors up to the Midnight2 and mod motors between 12-15 turns with no problems just for bashing.
