well I dont know anything about R/C outfitters, but if they really close and not send you your order, then all you have to do is call your credit card company and cancel the charge. It is usually not hard to cancel a charge, you usually just have to fill out a form, and the credit company reviews it then credits you back your money. If you put it on a debit card, then I am not sure if you have this option, but I think you still do.

Have you gone to the shop?
As far as I've heard, nothing has happened to them.

yea i have been there like every other day, and no one is their, i know they have been having some family issues, but their is no note on the door or anything. they even took the hours off the door so i just dont know what is going on.

best bet is to get the local cops on it. if they had left a msg on the door or something, that might be enough to put your mind at rest, but if theres nothing, it sounds like they could be using the family emergency thing as a cover to rip you and others off

I have raced with them here (the owners and a crew from RCO) at "The Pine" a few times. They seemed like decent people, always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately things happen but I wouldn't hammer them yet. I think you are doing the right thing by asking. I'll see what I can find ou

definatly hold on to that reciept and i'd call the local police and ask for some advice. In my opinion, it's already been too long, strike while the iron is hot, don't wait and loose.

Report it to the Bad Business Bureau and the local police. $650 is a lot of money.

pleaseletmeon34 thanks for looking into it a lil for me, i think they are really nice people to, the are nice to deal with but like you say if there was a note or something on the door i would not be thinking about it. thanks for all your input everyone.

On another forum there is a thread about a seller having a heart attack. It's a good read. What I meant by don't hammer them was "don't bash them", we don't know what happened yet. By all means pursue any lead to get your item or money. Sounds like we have both dealt with them, they are nice people. They have been good for the hobby also putting on some major events and exhibitions.
I talked to my co-race director, he hasn't heard from them in a while. We will look into it a little deeper.

Yea, im not bashing or flaming anyone, i was kinda thinking something like that happend, because i kept calling them and the line was just bizzy, like someone just droped the phone or something, thank you so much for the input.

Try asking in the RCO thread located in the race section on www.rctech.net. There are many more people there that would be able to answer your question

There was an apparent death in the family and the owners were out of town. They were supposed to be back in by the 7th for racing but no one seems to know what's up. Contact Ultegra for the best info...he goes there alot it seems. http://www.rctech.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2060297&postcount=7067

ok I got some info tonight from a lady that I met while leaving a letter at the shop, she said that Chris told her they had 2 family members in the hospital and 1 passed away, she had something worth $500 ordered but they did not have it, so Chris gave her $200 and told her that he would have the rest of the money last weekend but he never contacted her to give her the money, so something is a lil fishy. pass this info on to anyone wondering what is going on at RCO.
