Do you guys have any suggestions on how to make a b# faster other than buying a XXX? Thank you for any help in advance.

simple stuff (and cheap) first...
1. bearings- if your model didn't come with bearings, a full set is in order... oh and.. if your kit did come with bearings, they may be in needing of a good cleaning...
2. gearing- proper gearing is perhaps the best hop-ups money can buy dollar for dollar...
expensive stuff-
mod motor- if you wanna go fast, there is no better way then putting in a mod motor... most of the top buggy racers run around a 12x2... the faster the mod you have, the less runtime you will get, and the faster the motor the faster it will need rebuilds...
you may need to get a better esc to handle a hot mod motor... and you may need to upgrade to larger capacity cells to get decent run times on a mod....
peace out.... :)

top speed wise, there are SO many things you can do. On the track, there is no replacement for practice.
If top speed is what you want, I have what you're looking for (me and a few friends had a XXX hit well over 90 MPH)
-Trinity D4 10X2, geared at 28/78
-12 cells (just solder two packs in series)
-truck rear tires
-Novak C2 or other ESC of high-caliber
- A VERY long runway.
This will get your car to go insanely fast. I am not over-exaggerating those speed figures.
Now, you wanna go faster just playing around, pick up a Speed Gems motor around the 12-16 turn range, and gear it accordingly. Instant cheap speed.

90 mph.....a dragster with 12 cells and that kind of power can only go like 95, abnd the xxx weighs so much more. I am guessing it went 60, and it seemed like 90. I thought my car was going like 90, untill i got it speed checked....:57 mph. That was a HPI Racer 2 with a Novarossi CX-12 and a 2 speed

After all the trouble SteveP went through to get a Super Nitro RS4 to do over a 100, All the trouble Cliff Lett and Mike Reedy went through to get a TC3 to do 96mph, and the fact that that the 10L needed an Aevox brushless to get over a hundred, I'd say there isn't buggy on the planet that'll do 90. They're just too heavy and inefficient. Especially with a Losi tranny. j/k :D I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'd be askin when the last time that radar was calibrated. ;)

doc, you wanna go faster. You wanna beat those XXX's at the track. There is only one thing you can do.
Practice.
If you can, get to the track at least once a week to do so.
