Hi all, I just painted my first body but I want to know something before I peel off the masking.

So here it goes:

I painted my body with 3 lights coats of Createx Auto-Air paint and then back it with 3 lights coats Createx Opaque black for a "midnight" effet...So I want to know if the body is okay to be run on an electric car or will it scratch up and chip.

And how long do you wait before peeling windows masks?

Thanks for these noob answer :o

Createx will not chip.

Scratching however is another story -- particularly if it's very fresh. If you give it some time to cure, it will become less subject to scratches.

Your mileage may vary.

You can peel the window masks off after you're done painting. The paint will will fairly strong since it sounds like you put it on right.

nice job for first paint job one thing to help with scratches is to shoot with a protective coating before you peel your window masks. you can use something like fascolors fascoat or i use spray on polyureathan from a can, minwax works for me. let dry but not completely before removing window masks they will come off easier without pulling paint, if completely dry lightly score around them before pulling.
