It's coming in the mail. I need to know what I should do yeah I get it. If I dont do something will (like capasitors, diodes, ETC ;) it fry up? And does the Large external capasitor plug in, solder, or is it buitly in? I have seen some pics where there's wires comming out of the corner where the solder post are, and I saw a pic where the capasitor is built in....

Built in... http://www.ssl11.com/stormerh/cgi-bin/pics/nov1775.jpg

Not built in... http://www.gpmd.com/images/novm1775.JPG

Wierd huh?

Does any have the C2 yet.

THANKS!

Oh, I think I'll get the one thats not built in cause inorder to use the pit wizard you have to get a adapter. And the one thats not built in has a male plug :)

The only thing you'll need to worry about is the Power Capacitor(that big cap that connects to the Cyclone). Even with that new internal one, you still need to use an external one, as a safety precaution(according to Novak, it IS neccessary), but I don't consider the Shottky diode or the small motor capacitors to be that neccessary. I've run with & without both, & haven't noticed any discernable difference. Just solder the Power Cap. leads onto the solder posts along with the wire you use, & you should be good to go....

I heard that you can plug the Power cap in. Thats what the wires are for.

And I was reading and it said that the Power cap was installed, enternally. Thats what you see. In the corner bit the solder leads.

GrizzBob-- Do you have the C2?

No, I don't have one yet, but I've been reading a lot from Novak's website, & it appears they still recommend you use an external cap along with the internal one, as a precaution. The way I see it, better safe than sorry(after all, $150 is a pretty hefty chunk of change)..... :)

Oh, yeah! Do you have the Cyclone?

Yes, I have 2 Cyclones(one regular, & one TC). I haven't worried much about using the diode or small caps on the motor, I have follwed Novak's advice on the Power Capcitor religiously, & they've worked perfectly for me..... :)
