I have an Evader ST with the GTB 5.5 and I need some new tires. I have these on right now: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDU17&P=0. These tires suck on my street and I want some tires that will last a long time and have good traction. The one's that I'm thinking of look big and heavy but if that's what it takes for good traction then so be it.

thinking: masher, masher 2000, dirt works, or Dirt Hawg.

well what kind of street do you live on?

For the street i think proline road rage IIs would hook up nicely. The other ones would work too, but the street would be taken off slowly from driving in the street

The tyres you already have I've found hook up best out of all the road treads. I have some Masher 2000's, and to be honest they can hook up better, but it creates a whole load of handling problems due to the extra weight, size etc. They can be used offroad great as well though.

Proline Dirt Hawgs are a good all around tyre that hook up well on roads as well, you could look into them.

My road is flat but has little rocks and pebbles which i think is the reason for the loss of the traction. I picked out those tires becaues I heard they had excellent traction on the road and with my road i figured they would be better than the speed hawgs.

You can also change how the tire works by the way you mount it. The link and picture you posted is a good example. If you mounted tires so V is rotating forward is as the effect of plowing dirt out of the way- good for adding traction with thread rotating in opposite direction it may loose some of the plowing/gripping action.

My tires are on right and when I do like half throttle the tires spin and get no traction and then the car starts to fishtale.

So are the tires I listed any good? pros/cons?
