If I were you then I will go for TC3. I have TC3 "Racer Kit" with Chrysler 300m body. ;)

4tec all the way. Hehehe, I just had to throw that in there. The TC3 looks very good, and sounds awesome. C'mon, no belts to stretch, or to skip, etc.. If you want belts(well one belt) try the XXX-S. Another very nice tourer.

Yeah. I can tell you why to get the TC3. Our track is near a bank and closer to a seedy part of town. Every week while we walk to the track, me and the chizzler stop and get a slurpee at the 7-11 near the bank, Grape/Pina Colada is my favorite. Anyways, on this one occasion, there was a hold up at the bank just as we was walking past when one of the gunman runs into me, almost toppling my slurpee.
I say "Watch it jack, you'll spill my slurpee."
The chizz pipes up and says "Don't make me brain freeze you fool"
We look at each other and start laughing, then we see the gun and both lift our rides for some vain attempt at protection. When the smoke cleared, both of us are laying on the pavement moaning, "I've been shot, I've been shot!"
Well this passerby guy looks at me and shows me my TC3, still in one peice with a bullet stuck in the chassis. My TC3 saved my life and to this day when I think about it, I hear that Elton John song in my head. We both look over at chizzler and look at his XXX-s and there is a big hole in it and his shoulder.
Really, it was a big hole. I've never seen a gun shot wound before so I do what any red blood American would do, I jammed my finger in it to see how deep it was and say to the chizzler, "Hey, your insides are squishy"
He starts screaming in pain again and whacks me on the side of the head with the remainder of his XXX-s chassis and I take my finger out of his shoulder.
I say to the chizzler, "I told you not to get that sissy car" and he says, "I know. Now we have to walk back to the car and get my TC3, after they stitch this bullet hole."
I said "Any thing you say buddy" and pulled a white sheet over his head.
He starts screaming again "I'm not dead you big silly bastard, just go get my TC3 for me while the paramedics come." It wasn't so much I thought he was going to die as it was he was covered in drying blood and I didn't want to look at him all gross like that.
I said "OK" but damn I hated having to walk back to the car, most of my slurpee unfrozen.
Bottom line, get the TC3

A name Losi gave to their mix of composites. Think of it this way, stiff-as-hell.
Stiffezel = Stiff as hell... Try flexing the chassis with your bare hands.... can we say "No movement"
My manager kept raggin on my about how heavy he thinks the car is ( not too bad..but still slightly heavier than TC3 w/ stock chassis ) I had him do the flex test... Nuff said.. :D

RC10T3 - i know what the stiffezel chassis is made of, i was merely making a joke over the "normal" composite of a tc3 to something considered "stiffer" with getting hit by a bullet LOL :D
GG - Jeremy thinks it's too heavy.. I say no... But what do i know  ..hehe

TC3 is quick as hell, XXX-S is uhhh I dunno, efficient? But the MR4 is better handling. Just my opinion... or is it? hehe :D

Academy STR-4 Pro.
Reasons: Inexpensive kit that comes with a lot of goodies. Carbon graphite chassis, threaded shocks, anodized aluminum everything. Very good fit and finish... Also if anyone says, "HA! I see you're trying to follow me(given they have TC3) with that POS shaft driven car!" you can return with the comment of. "you have no idea what you're talking about, because this car came out 9 months before the TC3... so YOU're the one running a car copied off mine!".
but realistically, the fit and finish of the kit is great. It handles VERY nicely, very light weight chassis design with great weight balance.

Go with the TC3.... You dont have to deal with belts and there are tons more aftermarket hop-ups for it.... like hardcore racing makes aluminum and titanium chassis for em' and you can find almost every part for the TC3 you need in aluminum. I race my TC3 every weekend and there have recently been a couple guys with XXX-S's there and i've smoked em' all... I have a dynamite power pulse ESC and a P2K pro motor. the guy i was racing had the same motor and a novak atom ESC. I have a JR XR3 radio and he was runnin' some kinda Airtronics radio. He was a good driver and the XXX-S held up to lots of hits on the boards but overall i still beat him. Both TC's are so good that its pretty much just driver error that'll do it.

It's probably a good idea to wait until the December issue comes out. I think there will be some good info on all the TCs.
POsting this type of thread usually gets the standard 5,001 posts that "What I own is the best" and "What I don't own is the worst".
If you are going to race go to the track, check out the parts wall and see what car has more in stock. Then check out who is racing what car and talk to them.
If you are not racing get whatever car you'll think you look cooler driving.
December has some answers for you.

::cough::cough::tc3::
hehe.......the tc3 is the best car(i think.....im not sayin all the other cars are bad)a couple of things that i like about the tc3 is the shaft drive...wont get rocks stuck.....also it doesnt have a upper chassie, so it is easier to work on.......:D :D

well, I own and race a tc3 and its an awesome car. I'll admit that I was getting tired of breaking parts. Then one day I got BRP's wide front/rear bumpers and I haven't broken anything since. I've also driven a corally 4.1 and with some mods, it rips!!!
All in all, my vote is for the tc3, performance, price, and parts availability

What is it with people and belts? Touring cars and rocks don't mix, stay away from rocks. I have raced my belt cars for 12 months and have only ever torn up 1 belt due to a rock. I would not make shaft drive the ONLY reason to get a car.
I really like the Yok and it DID with the 2000 worlds :)

Hey, don't knock Nikko, the guy who wins the most at our track races a Nikko and he beats TC3's, XXX-s, X-Rays and HPI's.
He kicks their butts.

Tamiya TRF 414 is the thing, it's expensive but it got all the hop ups ul need, and the drive train is so smoth and light. My TRF 414 is the fastest car on the track, and every one at my track whant's the power in my car. And the car handels soooooo goooooood
The X-Ray T1 is also not a bad car nut the drive train is very bad. It's sp heavy.
